The summer heat is at its peak, and I do hope you are finding ways to stay cool and hydrated. My husband and I enjoyed more of the summertime with our family and having our out-of-town granddaughter stay with us for two weeks. We also attended the baby shower of a mother who is having twins. As the fall season peeks around the corner, for some, this time of year is just the beginning of their vacation season for those who are retired, while many others have been fitting in their last vacation before returning to work and their kids go back to school. It is during this time of transition from vacation mode to real-life mode, many women find themselves quickly settling back in the rut of being overtaxed and overwhelmed. As I reflect on this modality in which many women feel overburdened, these questions arise within me: Why do I coach women who are struggling, stressed, and overwhelmed? Because God has given me the gift of coaching women who are finding what their God given direction is in their life. I find joy in helping other women; let us talk or please forward to another woman who you may think could use my assistance.

Through my coaching experiences, I often find myself helping women make an honest assessment of their psychological, emotional, and physical well-being. Why? Because a common thread for women who are in a constant state of feeling stressed is that they have forgotten how to take even a moment for themselves. In the Gallup article, 2020 Another Emotionally Taxing Year for Women with Children, research suggests, “in 2020, as they were in 2019 and to a lesser extent in other years, women with young children at home were by far the saddest, angriest, most worried and stressed out of all.” In fact, after using the Negative Experience Index, findings suggest that “while 2020 was a record-setting year for negative emotions the world was already heading in a negative direction well before the pandemic swept the world.” Further, the blame for the increase does not rest entirely on the pandemic, “but it undoubtedly compounded situations for many, including women with young children in the home, who were already dealing with these negative experiences.”

Though this article was written two years ago, and most can certainly agree that the pandemic placed an unexpected burden on the human experience, has anything changed for women since it’s publication? I think most women already know the answer to this question. We share a great burden in caring for others that is often a labor of love. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could take care of yourself and your family while also successfully managing your career or life’s passion? I am here to tell you that you can! My coaching specializes in helping women get to the root of what is important and helping them to refocus on their God-given purpose.

A Book to read by John MacArthur:

Twelve Extraordinary Women: How God Shaped Women Of The Bible, And What He Wants To Do With YouTwelve Extraordinary Women – How God Shaped Women of the Bible and What He Wants to Do with You

John MacArthur wrote, “Celebrated for their courage, vision, hospitality, and spiritual giftedness, it’s no wonder women were so important to God’s plan revealed in the Old and New Testaments. It wasn’t their natural qualities that made these women extraordinary but the power of the one true God whom they worshipped and served .”

“Some of the women you’ll come to know include:

Ruth (Ruth 1 – 4)
Anna (Luke 2:36 – 38)
Martha and Mary, sisters of Lazarus (Luke 10:38 – 42)
Mary Magdalene (Matthew 27:56 – 61)
Sarah (Genesis 11 – 25)
Hannah (1 Samuel 1 – 2)
The Samaritan woman (John 4)
Mary, the mother of Jesus (Luke1 – 2)”
