You wonder if forgiveness truly matters. Let me share what Scripture reveals.

Joseph Jordan's research in "How Many Times is Forgiveness Mentioned in the Bible?" shows forgiveness appears 127 times across both Testaments, with 146 references in the Greek New Testament alone. The word "forgive" surfaces 38 times in the New Testament and 89 times in the Old Testament. These numbers tell us something profound: forgiveness forms the foundation of our relationship with God and creates peace with others.

Consider Joseph's story, one of my favorites. His brothers despised him (Genesis 37:4-8), threw him into a pit, and sold him into slavery in Egypt (Genesis 37:24-28). Yet despite their cruelty, Joseph chose to forgive their wrongs completely (Genesis 50:17-21).

His choice transformed not just his family but entire nations. The full account spans Genesis 37:1 through 50:26, and it reveals something remarkable about the power we hold.

Joseph could have chosen revenge. Instead, he chose redemption.

Here is what moves me most: If Joseph could forgive betrayal that severe, what becomes possible when we release the smaller hurts we carry?

What relationship in your life might change if you chose Joseph's path today?
