Well, summer is almost here. My husband and I are preparing to see our first grandchild graduate from high school and go on to college in the fall. Congratulations to others who have a child or grandchild graduating from high school or college. Praying that God continues to watch over them as they move forward into the life God has for them.

Let us take care of ourselves because Gallup found in March of 2021 that women’s well-being decreased due to the level of stress and worry. As they described, “a roller coaster blur of exhaustion, treading water, self-doubt, and loss of identity,” they got behind in work, dishes, laundry, emails, and more. In the end, they stopped working in their careers, which ultimately brought a loss of income to the household. What is it worth for you to be able to do more and be more with less stress and more joy? If you work with me to be able to enjoy the moment instead of feeling like you are constantly running from one thing to the next, one-to-one coaching with me will allow you to be more present and enjoy the good things life has to offer you.

Becoming aware of your values and writing them down to evaluate them is a great way to start toward leaning into that more authentic you.  Here is an exert from an article “Stabilizing Your Life and Work Through Values and Strengths.”

  • If you look at the dictionary definition of what values are, the dictionary says values are one’s judgment of what is important in life. And so, it is really those things that are really core to kind of who you are.
  • From knowing your values, you have the opportunity really to be used by them. And so, you become the expression of that, so that there is an element of understanding your values and knowing your values….
  • How do you discover your values or how do you get connected to your values?
  • Make a list of what is really important to you in life?

 Gallup, Dean Jones – November 12, 2020

A Book to read by John MacArthur:

Twelve Extraordinary Women – How God Shaped Women of the Bible and What He Wants to Do with You

John MacArthur wrote, “In Twelve Extraordinary Women, you will learn more than fascinating information about these women you will discover – perhaps for the first time – the unmistakable chronology of God’s redemptive work in history through their lives. These women were not ancillary to His plan, they were at the very heart of it. And this book includes their amazing stores.”

Hoping you will have a wonderful Memorial Day with family and friends.
